Simbellmyne's utopia

I re-watched The Fellowship of the Ring today (I don’t really know how many times I’ve seen it) and, quite unexpectedly, fell in love with Galadriel. I mean, I always liked her, but now I appreciate her so much more. I think this had to do with the fact that recently I’ve been reading about how strong women characters tend to be somehow masculine - tomboys and so on (I believe TVtropes call it “Real women never wear dresses”). And here she was - an unmistakeably strong figure, the ruler of her realm, with almost frightening powers and a hinted back-story, and also unmistakeably a woman. In a dress, even.
